Umar Ghouse
Technology Innovator
Umar is currently a Technology Innovator at Frontier, leading Frontier’s software development projects.
He initially worked in the Economic Research Team, where he conducted analyses on Economic data and contributed to presentations and many written reports, including Frontier’s flagship Economic Monthly report. While working as an Economic analyst, he developed an interest in Frontier’s Software Development effort. Now, having self-learnt software development over the last few years, he is involved in streamlining various processes at Frontier to make them more efficient and effective.
His most recent work involves managing the software team at Frontier and leading our work with consultants on AI projects. His past technological developments include Time Twister Online – an online version of Frontier’s flagship, daily newsletter – and developing a custom CRM for Frontier, as well as conceptualizing and directly overlooking development of systems to deliver our work to clients online.
Umar recently appeared as a panelist at a discussion on Data Analytics, hosted by the Royal Institute of Colombo.
