Ayoma, a Director and Co-founder of Frontier Research Pvt Ltd, established Frontier in 2003 alongside Amal, beginning a two-decade journey in building a respected economic research institution. Ayoma's role at Frontier has focused on administration, finance, tax, and strategic development. She also works to foster a unique employee-driven culture inspired by Amal’s commitment to provide timely research and information services to Frontier’s clients.


Ayoma previously served as Head of Social Research at TNS Lanka where she was involved in setting up and managing the social sector research unit focused on research and evaluation of projects related to INGOs, UN agencies, and donor agencies.


Prior to this, she served as Research Consultant at the Colombo Branch office of the South Asia Institute at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, where she was involved in various research initiatives, authored research papers, articles, and publications, and supported an academic exchange program with the University of Colombo.


Ayoma's academic background includes a B.A. and a Post Graduate Diploma in Economic Development from the University of Colombo.

Dr. Nimal E. H. Sanderatne is a former chairman of the Bank of Ceylon, National Development Bank and several other financial institutions. He was the Director of Statistics and Economic Research at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. He was senior fellow of the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS). Besides other positions he’s held in many other organizations, he was also visiting senior fellow at the Post Graduate Institute of Agriculture (PGIA) Peradeniya.


He holds a BSC Econ degree from the University of London; a M.Sc. (Agricultural Economics) from the University of Saskatchewan and M.A. and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin. He was conferred a DSc degree honoris causa from the University of Peradeniya. He was also conferred a Deshabandu Presidential Honor.
